Day 1:

The Arrival.

Your English speaking and marine biologist guide pick you up at Cabo or La Paz Airport and take you to your hotel in the center of La Paz. 

A welcome cocktail awaits you.

Day 2:
Marine Safari.

After a breakfast at the hotel, you will go for your first trip, a marine safari.

Depending on the weather and the sightings report, you will depart from La Paz and explore the waters of the Island Espiritu Santo or leave from La Ventana and explore the rich water of the island Cerralvo.

We hope to see humpback whales, sperm whale, dolphins and more.


Evening free, and overnight at the Cathedral Hotel.

Day 3:
The Gentle Giant

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel, followed by an unforgettable expedition in the Bay of La Paz.

Immerse yourself in a 2-hour swim with the magnificent whale sharks, then venture to encounter playful sea lions.
Conclude this extraordinary experience with a beachfront lunch on one of the pristine shores of Balandra.

Day 4:
The Gray Whales.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we depart La Paz for Lopez Mateo, a charming fishing village just 2 hours away.

Your private boat awaits for a 3-hour observation and interaction with the gray whales.
Each winter, these majestic creatures migrate in large numbers from the cold waters of Canada to the Pacific shores for breeding.

Indulge in a direct-to-port lunch with the day's fresh catch before hitting the road to Loreto, where you'll spend the night at the oceanfront Oasis Hotel.
Enjoy a free evening with dinner options in town or at the hotel.

Day 5:

San Ignacio and Gray Whales.

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, embark on a captivating journey to the most immersive part of the trip—two days at an eco-lodge in the San Ignacio Lagoon, home to one of the largest gatherings of gray whales.

Upon arrival, relish in 2 hours of whale observation.
The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation and bird watching.
All meals are included at the camp.

Day 6:
Second day at the Camp

Awaken to the sounds of whale blows, followed by a typical Mexican breakfast.

This is a precursor to another 2-hour whale-watching session.

Return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, then prepare for a final 2-hour session.

Enjoy a free evening and dinner at the camp.

Take advantage of the exceptionally starry sky in the region (Vizcaino Reserve), with very low light pollution. Spend your last night at the camp.

Day 7:
Discovery of the Missions

After breakfast at the hotel and a 2 hours whale watching session, we'll hit the road for an immersive journey to explore the main missions founded by the Jesuits, including the Mission of San Ignacio, Mulegé, and Santa Rosalía.

 

Discover Santa Rosalía, a mining town developed by the French, featuring its famous church rumored to be designed by Gustave Eiffel.

 

We'll have a quick lunch on the road, and you'll spend the night at the Oasis Hotel in Loreto.

Day 8: 

The Giant of the Seas

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a breathtaking sea expedition. You'll embark on a quest to spot the elusive blue whale, the largest animal to have ever existed.

Witness a myriad of marine creatures such as humpback whales, common rorquals, dolphins, and more.

Depending on the activity, lunch will be served either on the boat or on a beach on Coronado Island.

After 7 hours at sea and dinner in town, you'll return to the Oasis Hotel for a night of rest.

"Day 9:

Farewell to the Whales

After a final breakfast in Loreto, we'll hit the road for La Paz. Given the considerable distance (356 km), we'll make a detour to Lopez Mateo for one last 2-hour session of observing the gray whales.

 

It's time to bid farewell to these guardians of the planet.

Our last seafood lunch will be with Lobito before heading back to La Paz.

Upon arrival at the Cathedral hotel, a farewell cocktail awaits, providing an opportunity to share memories of the journey. Enjoy dinner in the city, followed by a night at the hotel.

Day 10: The Departure

After a final breakfast, your French-speaking guide and marine biologist will accompany you to the airport. It's time to bid farewell and until we meet again.
